Terms of Trading

 

  • Water is listed on the website upon completion of our listing form.
  • You will be contacted to confirm a sale and sent an agreement/invoice when your water is sold/bought. You will also be contacted with offers on water if we are unable to sell/buy it at your listed price.
  • It is assumed that all water listed for sale is available in the seller's water account and can be transferred to the purchaser at time of approval by the relevant Water Authority.
  • The seller is to pay a selling fee of 3.3% (inc GST) for Temporary Transfers and Permanent Transfers. A minimum charge of $55.00 will apply to smaller trades. No commission is payable by buyer.
  • An administration fee of $55.00 is payable by both the buyer and the seller in all Mid Murrumbidgee and Lachlan Groundwater transfers.
  • The buyer is to pay the majority of the transfer fees with the seller being charged in some circumstances. (Please see below for water authority fees).
  • All money will be held in Water Exchange Australia Pty Ltd Trust Account on the vendors behalf until the water transfer is approved by the water authority, at which time money will be transferred to the vendor. If the transfer is refused the money will be refunded.
  • If you would like to purchase any of the listed parcels of water or list a parcel of water, please contact us by calling 0269 318 522, alternatively you can click on the Buy Water icon and complete the form online (or download and return by fax). Once your information is received we will promptly contact you to confirm your request and the availability of water .
  • If you would like to list water for sale on our website please contact us on 0269 318 522, alternatively you can click on the Sell Water icon and complete the form online (or download and return by fax). Once your information is received we will promptly contact you to confirm your request.
  • Please note that we endeavour to have the information on the website as accurate and up to date as possible however, there may be delays in the listing of information.

Water Authority Fees

  • State Water transfer fee - $50.00 + $0.50 to a max of $150.00 per application.
  • State Water Usage fee - $5.16/ML for transfer to all VIC Murray licences. $5.16/ML for transfers to NSW Murray licences with no attached works approval. $3.87/ML for murrumbidgee licences with no attached works approval. 
  • Murrumbidgee Irrigation - $75.00 per external application plus $8.39 per ML charges to your MI Account around April 2011. No fee is required for internal MIA transfers.
  • Coleambally - $130.00 per external application. $55.00 per internal application.
  • Goulburn Murray Water - $70.60 per application.
  • Lower Murray water - $70.60 per application.
  • South Australia - No fee applicable in 09/10 season.
